Honorary Presidents

Fabio Pedrina

The former National Councillor from Airolo (Ticino) presided over the “For the Protection of the Alpine Area from Transit Traffic” association for 14 years and launched the political debate on the Alpine Crossing Exchange in 2001. He had been a Member of the Board since 1995 and took part in the founding meeting of the Alpine Initiative back in 1989. His commitment contributed significantly to the strength of the association. His term included, for example, the referendum on the Avanti counter-proposal in 2004 – which we won – that demanded, among other things, a second road bore at the Gotthard. Fabio Pedrina was named Honorary President at the 2014 AGM.

Andreas Weissen

Danke Andreas!
